Monkey Bone.
Brenden Fraser stars as Stu Miley the creator of the
mischievous Monkey Bone Character. A Car accident leaves him in a coma and he
is trapped in a nightmare world - "Downtown" where he meets every nightmare he
has ever had including Monkey Bone.
Monkey Bone meanwhile takes over
Stu's body in the real world and wreaks havoc wherever he goes. The dreamworld
need lots of new nightmares so they do not want Stu to escape from the
dreamworld and get back his body from Monkey Bone. The race is on because the
plug on Stu's life support is about to be pulled - he must get back before this
happens. |

It's a very funny movie although smaller
children could easily be scared by some of the Comical "Nightmare" Characters.
There is a romance story and I would say this film is a modern, and vastly
improved who framed roger rabbit - without the cartoons drawn - they are all
Muppet like and fairly well done but all on a fairly grown up storyline. |
Picture: |
Picture Quality was
excellent the encoding provided a very sharp and clear picture. |
Sound: |
The sound clarity was
excellent and crisp throughout the film. |
Overall: |
This gets my vote - I was
not disappointed by this title in any way. |
Notes: This 20th Century Fox movie comes on 2 disks -
running time was 115 minutes. There were no extra features, other than a
trailer for 'Dude Where's my car', which although sad is fairly usual for the
video cd format. The sound is in HI-FI Stereo and the distributer is Video Van.
Plays well in Microsofts Media Player. |

The best video cd movie reviews.
The video cd movies come in English without
subtitles (except for a few selected titles). The exchange rate is excellent so
you get more for your money. Due to a large pirate video cd problem the official
releases have to be sold at really low prices to compete. Most movies are
released here long before they are officially released in the UK.
It is not easy tracking down the best
retailers of video cd. Who should you order from? Who offer a good quality service?
Which ones are passing off substandard pirate video cd's as genuine? We aim to rate
the best of the online video cd shops. This site lists the very best video cd retailers -
and we welcome feedback from you to help us to keep these ratings as accurate
as possible. |
