Cleopatra 'Classic'		This is the 1999 movie based on Cleopatra. Timothy Dalton stars as Julius Caeser. This movie is massive - spanning 4 disks. Each disk contains an episode of the story each with it's own sub plot. The second part was a little weak on plot but the overall movie was excellent. This movie tells the story of Cleopatra (- with a sprinkling of Hollywood additions - ok so there's not much historical accuracy here but who cares!) The cleopatra rolling out of a rug scene was well executed although lifted from an earlier movie and there were lot's of other nice touches.
Picture:	No expense was spared on the scenery and costumes and thankfully the video cd picture quality is very good throughout. The movie lends itself nicely to the video cd format with few action scenes and the typical video cd artifacts.
Sound:	The sound was generally very clear but there was a discernable artifact in the right channel which became annoying when there was silent scenes, but this did not affect my enjoyment of the movie. I would say that the sound quality suffered a little during encoding but this was to the advantage of the picture quality.
Overall:	If you like classic movie remakes then this is a must buy. But if you are an action fan and enjoyed other Roman epics I doubt that you would find much here to appeal to you. It is the sort of film that I could happily watch when I was at home in bed with the flu!

Videocd shipments take about 5-10 days to arrive which isn't bad but customs inspections can cause delays. Please do not ask me about where to buy pirate videocds or where to buy pirate dvd- I do not know where to buy them and if I did I would report it to the authorities.
