Size isn't everything. | Wrong - A web page size is critical. If it's too Big then it will take ages to download and your guests will give up waiting for it, we strive to keep each page (including images) to below 25k. (this page is 18k inc the image of 10k above so images take up much more space than text. ) | ||||
| I want lot's of features. | Again the number of features must not break the first rule. Lo's of flashy java script effects will take ages to download and some browsers may not be able to handle the latest effects and features. | |||||
| Why do I need a website? | A website says you are a modern company - a web address looks really good on your headed paper or compliment slips. You will get access to customers all over the world. You don't need to say much in your local media advertising - the website carries detailed information and an easy way to contact you. Your competitors are seeking every advantage they can - why don't you get the upper hand. | |||||
| How do I know what colours should I have for my website? | 3 colour schemes seem to give the greatest aesthetic appeal and you could go for bold contrasting colours or complementary tonal colours. We will suggest a variety of different options and show you what they look like to help you decide. | |||||
| What sort of layout should I have? | Again we will prepare a
number of options for you and present them to you - you can then mix and
match or chop and change. My pet hate is sites that use frames - they
use up valuable screen space and in most cases are unnecessary.

| What content should I have? | We cannot tell you what your business is, you assume full responsibility for the content of your website. We take your content and present it in the best way we can. | |||||
| How do I know how many people visit my site? | Your website will have a counter that gives you the information you need about your visitors, including the days they visited your site. The counter will be monitored by an independent provider to us so you are guaranteed an accurate report. | |||||
| But I can design it myself in a Supa Mega Web Design 2000 package. | Every design package we have used seems to add lot's of extra code to a page and increases the size of each page needlessly. Code should be written in a compact way, to avoid frustrating your visitors so that your customers will keep coming back. Also most of the code produced by a package requires modification before it will work online. Experience is not available in a package - we know how to make pages appear high up in search engine listings and how to keep people coming back.. | |||||
| I paid a small fortune for a web page but nobody looks at it. | The best designed website in the world will be wasted if nobody knows it exists. Any site we design will be actively promoted on the internet, registered with search engines and directories and fully optimized to gain high search engine priority. | |||||
| There are still not enough visitors to my site! | There are many ways to promote your site on the internet and in the local media, we can advise you of the options and enable you to select one to maximize your marketing strategy. | |||||
| Why are you are so inexpensive? | We have very few overheads. We do not have our own server to keep running, with the associated problems of hardware failure. All the sites we produce are hosted by large corporations with secure data centres and multiple servers ready to kick in if one should fail, and because there is a large hosting company involved the costs are considerably reduced. | |||||
| Do you have any vacancies? | You have to be good. We are always looking out for talented subcontractors to take on work during our busy times. Send us an email with links to you work and If we are impressed we will contact you to arrange a technical interview. Formal qualifications are not necessary if you have a proven track record. | |||||
